AUCKLAND
Rated as one of the most liveable cities in the world, Auckland is truly a naturally gifted metropolis. Where else can you have a fully urbanized town that’ s just minutes away from pristine beaches, dense rainforests, captivating islands, gorgeous vineyards and wildlife reserves? Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and lies on an isthmus, with two harbors surrounding it. The entire country is known for its natural beauty and also the shooting location of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The metropolitan area is hip with amazing restaurants, nightclubs and designer stores. And when you want to escape all that, you have a range of outdoor activities to choose from. Your list of essential things to do in Auckland must include a cruise (and then a hike) to the volcanic Rangitoto Island, bungy jumping off the harbor bridge, having an alfresco meal at a vineyard, snorkeling in Goat Island Marine Reserve and so much more. More than being just a city, Auckland is an experience. With so many things to see, do and taste, you’ ll find that any holiday here is not long enough.
