ROTORUA

WELLINGTON
A small city with a big rep, Windy Welly’s multilayered city streets are jam-packed with treats. It has hill-top lookouts, waterfront promenades and craggy shorelines to the south. Downtown, the compact centre vibrates with museums, theatres, galleries, boutiques and bars. CHRISTCHURCH
Christchurch in New Zealand is located on the Canterbury Plains and bounded by the hills and the Pacific Ocean, Christchurch is a city of many hues. Mighty mountains, green parks, and picturesque river abound the city’ s landscape. A modern and vibrant city, the touch of nature is everywhere. Christchurch is a city full of fun-filled activities. Set your course to Christchurch’s Antigua Boat Sheds, located on the banks of the Avon River in the heart of the city. The Antigua Boat Sheds have been a part of Christchurch’ s history for over 130 years. This place is home to a traditional and iconic Christchurch pastime that retains all the trappings of Edwardian England. One can go Hot Air Ballooning while in the city and witness the magnificent view of the landscape, with the mountain ranges on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other with the Canterbury Plains in-between. Go the local way and rent a bicycle and set forth for a fun-filled adventure. Explore the city’ s monuments, art galleries, boutique shops and open-air markets. Canterbury Museum, Christchurch Arts Centre, and Christchurch Botanic Garden are some of the places which are a must in any traveler’ s itinerary.
QUEENSTOWN

DUNEDIN
Dunedin is a city in New Zealand, at the head of Otago Harbour on the South Island’s southeast coast. It’s known for its Scottish and Maori heritage, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, and a large student population. Hiking and cycling trails crisscross the dramatic landscape of the adjoining Otago Peninsula, home to colonies of albatross, sea lions and rare yellow-eyed penguins.

After breakfast at Hotel’s restaurant you will travel across the rich Waikato farmland for Waitomo. The Waitomo Caves region is famous for its subterranean splendour. Beneath the surface of this ancient limestone region is a series of vast cave systems decorated with stalactites, stalagmites and glow-worms. Enjoy a guided tour of the Waitomo Caves (entry & guided tour with boat ride is included) and a boat ride through the famous Glow-Worm grotto. Enjoy twinkling lights emitting from the ceiling like stars in a dark night. Later travel across to forest Mamaku Range to arrive at the thermal resort of Rotorua. Your journey to Rotorua will take you through a mixture of farmland, lakeland and forest

After breakfast at Hotel’s restaurant, today proceed to AGRODOME to witness the Agrodome Agricultural Show, where you will be entertained by New Zealand’s performing sheep and other attractions. Later proceed to visit TE-PUIA thermal village known for its hot springs, geysers and boiling mud pools. Watch the Maori craftsmen and learn about the traditional arts of carving and weaving and RAINBOW SPRINGS to see the flora and fauna of New Zealand. You can enjoy this afternoon with a guided tour to world class attraction Hobbiton Movie Set. This evening enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert.
Overnight in Rotorua
After breakfast, start your journey to Wellington via Taupo and along the shore of the huge lake to spectacular Tongariro National Park comprising of massive active volcanoes and site of North Island’s ski fields. From the barren land of this plateau, you descend to Palmerston North to the “Capital City”. , it encompasses a waterfront promenade, sandy beaches, a working harbour and colourful timber houses on surrounding hills. Arrive Wellington by early evening.

After breakfast, head for a morning city tour featuring Mt Victoria for 360 degree view of the city. See “Beehive” and Parliament Buildings, scenic bays and Lady Norwood Rose Gardens. Your afternoon is free to explore New Zealand’s capital city. A visit to Te Papa National Museum is recommended.

Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains before arriving at Lake Tekapo. The road to Mt Cook takes you through high country tussock to beautiful Lake Pukaki. After breakfast, head towards MILFORD SOUND CRUISE (included). This famous cruise gives you an opportunity to see MITRE PEAK which is just out of the water and mile high. Go exploring with a nature guide in the tender vessels and kayaks. You may see fur seals lazing on the rocks and lots of sea birds and numerous waterfalls. Enjoy beautiful landscape with its towering mountain peaks, gushing waterfalls, ink-dark water and sheer cliffs covered in lush native rainforest. Return to Queenstown.

This morning travel from Alpine resort Queenstown following the historical Otago goldfields trail, continue your journey over viaducts and through the Central Otago hill country to Pukarangi before reaching the Scottish influenced city Dunedin.

Travel north through lush farmland and a series of small farming communities to Christchurch. Fresh, green farm scenery will accompany you to Balclutha, which has a distinctive arched concrete bridge and an interesting museum. Stop in Mandeville if you’d like to fly in a Tiger Moth, or by the Mataura River if you want to catch a trout. Follow the coastal road to the port city of Timaru and continue your journey across the Canterbury Plains before reaching Christchurch.
