LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Lake Manyara National Park is a Tanzanian national park located both in Arusha Region and Manyara Region, Tanzania. The two administrative regions have no jurisdiction over the parks. The park is governed by the Tanzania National Parks Authority. The majority of the land area of the park is a narrow strip running between the Gregory Rift wall to the west and Lake Manyara, an alkaline or soda-lake, to the east.
NGORONGORO
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is in northern Tanzania. It’s home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and “big 5” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). Huge herds of wildebeests and zebras traverse its plains during their annual migration. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals. Hominin fossils found in the Olduvai Gorge date back millions of years.

Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The park’s inhabitants include hippo, monkey, tree-climbing lion, flamingo and other varieties of birdlife. Lunch at the lodge. Then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Today you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area with the opportunity to see flamingo and other bird species, and the savannah where predators like the lion and cheetah are always on the hunt. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater.
